Through the application of innovative fiber finishing technology, combined with breakthrough concepts in warping and weaving, Dielectric Solutions has been able to completely remove one of the most time consuming, costly and damaging steps in the process of producing glass fiber yarn and fabric – yarn twisting.

Other producers must twist their yarn prior to weaving (or purchase already twisted yarn from a glass fiber producer).  Yarn twisting converts the pristine, flat fiber strand into a round “rope-like” strand which damages the glass filaments, and changes the structure of the glass.

Dielectric Solutions’ GlasFab® Process has succeeded where others have failed, by producing a high quality TwistFree™ glass fiber fabric in both the warp and weft directions.  Even after weaving, our strands retain their original flat, “ribbon-like” profile, resulting in a thinner, flatter, more consistent fabric.  Our flat weave also provides numerous other benefits in downstream fabrication operations of our customers.
